Dr. Nate DeJong – Chiropractor
Dr. Nate DeJong grew up in Rock Rapids, Iowa and graduated from Central Lyon high school. He played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track. He went on to play Division-II football at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. He first got under chiropractic care while in high school, and it had a profound impact on not only his health, but also his life’s purpose. The education process associated with the care Dr. Nate received highlighted the body’s ability to heal itself naturally, provided the proper conditions, by having a properly functioning nervous system.
This natural approach to health care, backed up with the health benefits and improved performance he experienced, led Dr. Nate to Davenport, IA to pursue his doctorate in chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. When Dr. Nate is not in the office you will find him exercising, traveling, and enjoy time with family and friends.
Sabrina DeJong – Office Manager/Co-owner
Sabrina also grew up in Rock Rapids, IA, where her and Dr. Nate went to school together and became high school sweethearts. She was heavily involved with sports playing volleyball, basketball, softball, and ran track throughout her high school career. She went on to Morningside College in Sioux City, IA, to where she ran track and received her degree in Elementary and Special Education. She found much joy in teaching young children in the classroom. She is equally thrilled to continue to educate individuals and families about health and healing through chiropractic care.
Sabrina has, first hand, experienced the benefits of chiropractic care. Growing up, Sabrina experienced terrible sinus infections on a regular basis, which found her frequently visiting the doctor’s office and taking medications to deal with the symptoms. Through neurologically based chiropractic care, she has been able to improve the function of her immune system, and she no longer suffers from sinus infections.
Sabrina is the Office Manager at Highest Health Chiropractic and, more often than not, you will find her smiling at the front desk. When Sabrina is not in the office, she enjoys a good cup of coffee, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Mike
Hi, I’m Dr. Mike. I grew up in Eau Claire, WI where I also attended University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation, I moved to Bloomington, MN where I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University. I practiced for 8 years before moving out to Sioux falls and joining the team at HHC with my wife, Dayna.
I grew up with chiropractic care thanks to my grandfather influencing and encouraging my parents to have me adjusted as a kid. I discovered my passion for chiropractic from my childhood chiropractor while I was a senior in undergrad. As I was contemplating medical schools, I shadowed him and realized how I could help the body heal from the inside out! This lead me to chiropractic school, and I’ve never looked back!
When I’m not at the office, you can find me with my wife, Dayna, and four children, Nolan, Cole, Baylor and Ariya. I enjoy wood working, gardening and canning, hunting, and spending time at the lake.
Dr. Jess
Hi, I am Dr. Jess. I was born and raised on a farm outside of Larchwood, IA. I graduated high school from West Lyon and then went on to the University of South Dakota.
While wrapping up my undergraduate degree, I had fallen down stairs. This led me to begin my chiropractic journey. Once I realized how much regular chiropractic care can help heal the body, I quickly switched my career path from dental school to chiropractic school. Still one of the best decisions I have ever made. This experience led me to Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, where I pursued my doctorate in chiropractic.
When I am not at the office you can find me with my husband, Tanner, our two kids, Jayden and Mackenzie, and our Golden Retriever, Payton. With any spare time you can find me reading, practicing yoga, enjoying the outdoors, drinking coffee, or having great conversation with family and friends.
Tara
Hi, I’m Tara, I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and attended Augustana College. While pursuing my undergraduate degree I realized my passion was to serve and help others through natural healing. After graduating I traveled abroad to England, France, Italy and Greece exploring and expanding my knowledge of other cultures. My travel experiences have helped me relate to all individuals in everyday life.
I personally have benefited from chiropractic care, which has relieved my migraines. I was having a migraine every three months which would cause me to miss out in life. I am now able to function at my best and this allows me to do everyday things with joy! I am excited to be a part of the Highest Health Chiropractic team and share the benefits of neurologically-based chiropractic care with the community. Our bodies ability to heal from above, down, inside and out is simple amazing. Optimal health is just a decision away.
When I’m not at the office I enjoy spending time with my son Noah. Outdoor activities, reading and exploring are our favorite things to do. We’re always planning the next adventure. Time is precious spend it doing what you love.
Bailey
Hi, I’m Bailey. I grew up in Cherokee, IA and graduated from Washington High School. I was involved in volleyball, track, and wrestling cheerleading. I went to Iowa Central Community College and received my Associates Degree. Then I went on to Buena Vista University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science/Human Performance with a minor in Coaching. With my passion for yoga, I received my Yoga Certification from Yoga Okoboji. I was a Personal Trainer for 3 years, where I enjoyed bettering others lives through health and wellness. I continue to influence others lives through the importance of a healthy spine and body with chiropractic.
After a volleyball injury, I chose to be under chiropractic care which my body responded great to, allowing me to get back on the court. Throughout my life, I have suffered from low back pain, and digestive issues. Since being under neurologically-based chiropractic care, I have seen improvements in my low back being more stable and digestive issues.
I am Chiropractic Assistant at Highest Health Chiropractic. As well as a Yoga Teacher at GreatLife. When I am not in the office I enjoy traveling, yoga, and spending time with husband and son, Brycn.
Meredith – Chiropractic Assistant
Hi, I’m Meredith. I grew up in Hastings, Nebraska and attended college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Science. My time pursuing my undergraduate degree showed me my true passion for not only educating people, but also empowering and serving others.
I benefitted from chiropractic care after playing multiple sports in high school and I understood the need to keep my body properly functioning because I had been in multiple car accidents that lead to low back pain, headaches, and migraines. Since being under neurologically-based chiropractic care, I have seen a big decrease in my low back pain, headaches, and migraines, and the amount of over-the-counter pain medications I take, as well as a huge boost to my
immune system.
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy cooking, attending sporting events, spending time with friends and family, and traveling with my husband.
Melody – Chiropractic Assistant
Hi, I’m Melody, I grew up in Kenosha, WI. My husband and I moved here to Sioux Falls shortly after we got married. I attended USD here in Sioux Falls to pursue an education in teaching but, a couple of years in my husband and I felt lead to do foster care. I enjoy walks with my dogs, going on nature walks, kayaking, and board games.
I have always had back pain since I was young and occasionally would go to the chiropractor to help with the pain. One morning I woke up and could not bend over due to my mid back pain. I was in desperate search for a chiropractor and stumbled on Highest Health at river fest and soon came in for assessments and education. Shortly after receiving consistent chiropractic care with TRT my mid back pain subsided and I was able to do the things I loved again.
Chiropractic has changed my life for the better and I want everyone to know and feel the joy and freedom that they can receive through specific neurologically based chiropractic care.
Michele
Hi, I am Michele. I was born in upstate New York. Our family moved to South Dakota where I attended Lincoln High School and onto USD in Vermillion. I enjoy downhill skiing, spending time with family, walking our Labradoodle, scrapbooking, and ATV riding with my husband Jim.
I have been under chiropractic care for years, due to persistent lower back and sciatic nerve pain. My mind set as I cared for my spine was reactive. After being educated by Dr. Nate and the team I realized that being proactive is the best way to take care of my spine. Since I have received adjustments with the Torque Release Technique my lower back pain and sciatic nerve has diminished. I believe the body will heal itself when given the opportunity.
As an Outreach Coordinator I am excited to educate the community about health and wellness. Dr Nate and Sabrina have created a caring and nurturing culture. They truly love their mission to heal the body from the inside out.
Jagger – Chiropractic Assistant
Jagger is experienced first hand the benefits of chiropractic care. Jagger received his first specific adjustment at 5 hours old! Be sure to ask him about the rest of his chiropractic testimony. You can find him smiling and laughing behind the front desk, or nestled up peacefully sleeping. He’s happy to help you in any way he can!
Crew – Chiropractic Assistant
Our newest addition to the HHC team is Crew Siep. He is a fan favorite already as everyone in the office got to watch him grow in his mom’s belly throughout her pregnancy. When he “works” at the office he is more than likely sleeping on the job or getting cuddled by a loving practice member! Crew was only a few hours old when he received his very first chiropractic adjustment! He also has a wonderful birth story he would love to share with you :) Come on in and meet Crew and the rest of the team!
